Welcome to the NGO Coordination Resource Centre

This site aims to be a ‘one-stop shop’ for NGO coordination in humanitarian contexts. Through this site, the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA)’s objective is to help improve humanitarian preparedness and response by increasing the effectiveness of NGO coordination in humanitarian contexts and their links with other humanitarian coordination mechanisms.

This site also supports practitioners in the field of NGO coordination by offering easy access to resources and learning by supporting a Community of Practice (CoP) that you can sign up for on this site.

Please watch our NGO Coordination Resource Centre welcome videos! - available in both French and English. Please access the Arabic welcome narrative here.

This section helps to better understand NGO coordination and provides practical guidance on how to establish a NGO coordination body and how to manage the coordination body once its established (عربي ; français)

This section provides guidance for NGOs engaging with the broader Inter agency humanitarian coordination mechanisms, such as Humanitarian Country Teams (HTC), clusters or sector working groups

This section offers a place for practitioners to share information and exchange ideas, help solve problems, network, learn about effective best practice and learn from the experiences of others

This site is not an NGO coordination mechanism in itself and is not intended to support live operational coordination for specific emergency responses. For further information on operational NGO coordination and engaging in humanitarian coordination architecture please visit www.humanitarianresponse.info or www.reliefweb.int

We are constantly improving the website. If you have feedback, questions or would like to submit content, we would love to hear from you. Please send an e-mail to ngocoordination@icvanetwork.org.
